Issue: Database is in compatibility range and upgrade is recommended

Solution: Please find the below solution to upgrade the SharePoint DB.

1.    In SharePoint Central Admin click BACKUP AND RESTORE, then PERFORM A Full BACKUP.
2.    Start the SHAREPOINT 2013 MANAGEMENT SHELL (make sure you RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
3.    CD into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\BIN>
4.    Paste following command and press enter PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures
5.    this will take a few minutes to complete, so just wait
6.    Go back to your SharePoint Central Admin console and click MONITORING (left menu) >REVIEW PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS > if Databases Running in Compatibility Range, Upgrade Recommended still shows click on it and then click the REANALYZE NOW button on the top
7.    Hopefully it only complains about your content database and Bdc_Service_DB

How To upgrade your Content Database:
  1. Paste the following into your SharePoint 2013 Management Shell Upgrade-SPContentDatabase and then enter the name of your content database at the Identity
How To upgrade your Bdc_Service_DB:
  1. Paste the following into your SharePoint 2013 Management Shell (Get-SPDatabase | ?{$_.type -eq
    “Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.SharedService.BdcServiceDatabase”}).Provision()
Data base is up to date but some sites are not completely upgraded:

Issue: Cannot make a cache safe URL for "1025 or 1036", file not found. Please verify that the file exists under the layouts directory.

Cause: While using the dynamic path in a multiple languages enabled site, language Id(1033 etc) will be added to the path automatically. That cause the File to be not found

Solution: please find the below Solution for the issues mentioned.

1.    For 1025:please download the Arabic language from the below site and install.


2.    For 1036: please download the French language from the below site and install

Event ID 2138 Re-occurring on SharePoint

Issue: Event ID 2138 occurring every hour. gives details that DB has grown larger than normal.

Resolutions: Please find the below steps to resolve the issue.

Resolution1:   Free disk space on the server computer

1.    Verify that the user account that is performing this procedure is a member of the Administrators group on the local computer.
2.    Run the Disk Cleanup tool to free disk space on the server computer.

Resolution 2:   Decrease the number of days to store log files

1.    Verify that the user account that is performing this procedure is a member of the Farm Administrators group.
2.    On the Central Administration Home page, click Monitoring.
3.    On the Monitoring page, in the Reporting section, click Configure diagnostic logging.
4.    On the Diagnostic Logging page, in the Trace Log section, in the Number of days to store log files box, type a smaller number.
5.    Click OK.

The issue is you see this is because, have a server with lots of physical ram.  SharePoint calculates this multiplies by 5 times and expects that amount of free space on your C drive even though SharePoint is probably not on your C drive.

·         Go into the SharePoint configuration.
·         Go into monitoring
·         Go into review rule definitions
·         Scroll down into the drives are running out of free space
·         Pull it up and edit it
·         Unclick the enabled box and save.
